The Laurie Jean Weitzer Foundation for our Future Healthcare Scholarship was created by the family of Laurie Jean Weitzer, who lost her battle with cancer at the age of 61. This scholarship will be awarded to a student who best exemplifies Laurie’s life. Laurie was an inspiration to us all. She demonstrated what it means to live life to the fullest and never give up as she fought for over 8 years with cancer. Laurie’s children were graduates of Waukesha South who were actively involved in athletics.
This scholarship will be awarded to a Student must be an athlete, going to a technical college, two-year college or four-year college/university. The student must be planning to study nursing
